We’re thrilled to share that Focus: HOPE will be the local partner in the Pass the Love w/ Waffle and Mochi campaign. Partnered with Partnership for a Healthier America and former First Lady Michelle Obama, we’re bringing healthy meal kits, inspired by the hit Netflix series, Waffles And Mochi, to our neighbors in need. The campaign aims to raise awareness about food equity while bringing the joy of food and cooking to families across the country.

Starting next month, 5,500 Detroit families will receive ‘Pass the Love’ meal kits, with recipes and ingredients inspired by the show, Waffles + Mochi. Over the course of four weeks, PHA and local partner Focus: HOPE will distribute 264,000 healthy meals to food-insecure Detroit families as the campaign works to meet its goal of distributing 1 million meals across the country.
