Make-A-Wish
TRG is currently working with Make-a-Wish Michigan on a significant fundraising effort which is one of only a few of its kind within Make-a-Wish nationally. TRG has helped bring together a strong staff and volunteer leadership team focused on generating significant philanthropic resources necessary to fulfill the growing number of annual Wishes across Michigan.

The Henry Ford
In the early 2000’s, Peter Remington and TRG partnered with The Henry Ford staff and top-level volunteers on their first ever major campaign which raised more than $160 million for infrastructure, new and refurbished exhibits, and endowment needs. This campaign also succeeded in greatly expanding the institution’s philanthropic funding base to include a broad range of constituents including individuals, foundations, and corporations at all levels of giving. This intentional shift helped solidify The Henry Ford as a true community supported institution which has become such an important local, regional, and national treasure.

Detroit 300
Leading up to Detroit’s tricentennial celebration, TRG was retained to work with Detroit 300 Chair, Edsel B. Ford, II to raise over $50 million in cash and in-kind gifts to build Campus Martius and the initial sections of the Detroit Riverwalk. This exciting effort culminated with a three-day citywide extravaganza featuring Tall Ships, blockbuster entertainment including Stevie Wonder, and other Motown legends, and many other community festivities. The Detroit 300 was so successful that it became a national model for other bi- and tricentennials across the country.

Karmanos Cancer Institute
TRG conducted the inaugural campaign to build the new Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute (KCI). TRG designed the campaign plan, provided ongoing strategic direction, and led staff and high-profile volunteers through each phase of the process. That campaign raised $107 million which far exceeded the original fundraising goal. TRG is presently working with KCI again as a returning client to help them achieve their current transformational vision.

Focus: Hope
TRG began working with Focus: HOPE in 1997 and has maintained an ongoing relationship ever since. Peter joined forces with Eleanor Josaitis and Lloyd Reuss to design and lead their first campaign with a goal set at $75 million to fund extensive facility renovations and expanded program support. Top corporate, community and philanthropic leaders as Co-Chairs for the campaign that ultimately raised $82 million. Over the years, TRG has proudly maintained an ongoing client relationship with Focus: HOPE providing strategic counsel through many leadership transitions and challenging times. To date, the firm has helped raise approximately $250 million in total through several campaigns, special projects, and annual fundraising activities.

CLIENT SPOTLIGHT
Wayne State University
TRG has worked with Wayne State University for many years first partnering with institutional leaders on the university’s first major fundraising campaign. In recent years, the firm was retained again to conduct a feasibility and planning study and create the campaign plan which served as the roadmap for what would become another successful effort that raised over $750 million.
